This musical drama captures the sometimes seedy atmosphere of the 1990s Greek club scene as it follows a talented young singer’s rise to stardom. As her popularity grows, her personal life falls apart, due mostly to the machinations of the jealous, elderly mentor she naively trusts. Morfi won the Alexis Mouyiaris Memorial Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film at last year’s New York Greek Film Expo on Demand.
