Dir. Mark L. Lester. 1982, 94 mins. 35mm. With Perry King, Merrie Lynn Ross, Timothy Van Patten, Lisa Langlois, Roddy McDowall, Michael J. Fox. The teachers at Lincoln High have a very dangerous problem…their students! Perry King plays Andrew Norris, an idealistic teacher who finds that his new job at a troubled school is an academic abyss ruled over by Stegman (Timothy Van Patten), a shrewd and sadistic teenage kingpin who declares war on Mr. Norris. This 80s cult classic is a punk rock riff on The Blackboard Jungle, marinated in pungently stylized urban violence and sharply, prophetically written by genre staple Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child’s Play, Psycho II).

Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free or discounted for Museum members. Order tickets online. (Members may contact [email protected] with questions regarding online reservations.)
