Screening
Goodfellas

Part of Martin Scorsese: Four Tales Over Four Decades
Monday, December 9, 2019, 7:00 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Redstone Theater

Dir. Martin Scorsese. 1990, 145 mins. 35mm. With Ray Liotta, Lorraine Bracco, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci. With Goodfellas, Scorsese redefined the gangster film by humanizing it—taking the viewer inside the characters’ minds to understand their drives and fears. He masterfully uses every film technique in the book to demonstrate Henry Hill’s attraction to a life of crime, his nervous addiction, and his isolation in going straight. Nicholas Pileggi wrote the screenplay, based on his book.

Free admission. Museum members are able to make reservations (by using the RSVP link sent via email). (Members may also contact [email protected] with questions regarding online reservations.) For members of the public, tickets will be distributed first come, first served on the day of the event. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
