A reclusive painter’s new model poses nude while her boyfriend, the artist’s wife (also a former model), and an art dealer hover in the background. An incisive exploration of the artistic process adapted from Honoré de Balzac’s novella The Unknown Masterpiece, this exquisite film won the Grand Prize at Cannes.
