Part of Jerry Lewis Tribute: Two Masterpieces by the Total Filmmaker
Sunday, September 3, 2017, 1:00 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Redstone Theater

Dir. Jerry Lewis. 1963, 107 mins. DCP. With Jerry Lewis, Stella Stevens, Del Moore. Widely regarded as Lewis’s directorial masterpiece, this variation on the Jekyll and Hyde theme, features Lewis playing the meek science teacher Julius Kelp, whose potion turns him into the irresistible lounge singer Buddy Love. Dave Kehr has described it as “one of the most intense investigations of self ever put on film, a technically impeccable work of inspired megalomania.”
