Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore

Part of Martin Scorsese Retrospective
Friday, March 24, 2017, 7:00 p.m.
Redstone Theater

With Ellen Burstyn in person

Dir. Martin Scorsese. 1974. 112 mins. 35mm. With Ellen Burstyn, Kris Kristofferson, Harvey Keitel, Diane Ladd. Burstyn recommended Scorsese as the director of this story of a single mother and a would-be singer who finds love while working in a diner. Burstyn’s choice proved wise; she won an Oscar, and the film’s success advanced Scorsese’s burgeoning career.
