This dramatically gripping new film about a Muslim man who risks his life trying to save a Hindu youth from being killed by Pakistani troops during the liberation war in 1971 was written by Humayun Ahmed, the most popular and prolific Bangladeshi writer. Director Morshedul Islam has said that this story is particularly relevant today, in a time of rising fundamentalism.
