SPECIAL SCREENING & DISCUSSION
Carol

Wednesday, January 6, 2016, 7:00 p.m.

With Todd Haynes, Christine Vachon, Ed Lachman, Affonso Gonçalves, Judy Becker, and Elizabeth Karlsen in person

Dir. Todd Haynes. 2015, 118 mins. With Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Sarah Paulson. DCP courtesy of The Weinstein Company. Patricia Highsmith’s audacious 1952 novel The Price of Salt, about two women from different walks of life who fall in love, has been masterfully adapted by Todd Haynes into an astonishing movie. "An exquisitely drawn, deeply felt love story that teases out every shadow and nuance of its characters' inner lives with supreme intelligence, breathtaking poise and filmmaking craft of the most sophisticated yet accessible order" (Justin Chang, Variety). The post-screening panel discussion brings together the key creative team, including the director, producers, cinematographer, editor, and production designer. Their collaboration resulted in one of the year’s most acclaimed movies, winner of Best Picture and three other awards from the New York Film Critics Circle.
