Presented in collaboration with the Associated Press and RYOT News
VR viewing from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a presentation

Seeking Home: Life Inside the Calais Migrant Camp documents a refugee camp in northern France where migrants hoping to start a new life in the United Kingdom have erected churches, mosques, restaurants, and even a beauty salon. With winter approaching, local authorities struggle with the camp's booming population as the temporary settlement becomes more permanent each day. This five-minute virtual reality documentary is the first in a series of collaborations between the AP and RYOT News. Attendees will be able to view the documentary with virtual reality headsets before the presentation starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be a reception, and a limited number of free Google Cardboard viewers will be distributed to the first attendees.

This program is part of VR360, an ongoing exploration of virtual reality and its impact on creativity and culture.
