Three Scapulars (Tres Escapularios)

With filmmaker Felipe Aljure in person

Dir. Felipe Aljure. 2015, 118 mins. Digital projection. With Isabel Jiménez, Mauricio Flórez, Karen Gaviria, Alma Rosa Martínez, Luis Fernando Gil. One of the most heralded films to come out of Colombia this year, Tres Escapularios examines the harrowing psychological and moral dimensions of freedom fighting. Against the gorgeous unspoiled vistas of the Caribbean, Nico and Lorena meet with the common goal of finding an ex-militant guerilla fighter who has given away vital information to the government and which resulted in the deaths of their comrades.
