Written by Anthony Minghella, and starring John Hurt in the title role, Jim Henson’s The Storyteller was an HBO series from 1988 that interpreted classic old-world folktales using sophisticated television techniques and animatronic characters. Three episodes will be screened: the Emmy-winning Hans, My Hedgehog (dir. Steve Barron), The Soldier and Death (dir. Jim Henson) and A Story Short (dir. Charles Sturridge). Total running time: approx. 75 minutes.
