Saturday, June 29, 2013, 1:00 p.m.

Dir. David M. Evans. 1993, 101 mins. Rated PG. Digital projection. With Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Patrick Renna. It is the summer of 1962. Scotty Smalls has just moved to a new neighborhood with his parents, and wants to learn to play baseball. The local champion, Rodriquez, takes Smalls under his wing, and soon he is part of the local baseball buddies in this comedy that, according to Roger Ebert, “taps into a vein of memory and nostalgia that makes reality seem puny in comparison.”
