Sean Penn won the Oscar for Best Actor in this epic and intimate biopic of gay activist and slain San Francisco politician Harvey Milk, who in 1977 became the first openly gay elected official in California. Milk is a heartfelt love story, a snapshot of 1960s San Francisco counterculture, and a tribute to a true revolutionary.

Tickets: If visiting the Museum after 4:00 p.m., tickets to Friday evening screenings are $12 ($9 for senior citizens and students). Otherwise screening is free with Museum admission.
